Since I last updated Citrix the official Ubuntu HOWTO for this has improved. Google for "citrix client ubuntu" and you should find some very good documentation. Previously it was difficult to find information regarding the different locations of SSL certificates. This is fairly well documented now. But you still might need to do a bit of tweaking for your installation.
The new Citrix driver also supports full screen mode very well (I found it not so good with my previous version) Now with full screen mode and the ability to use keyboard shortcuts in the remote screen, it led me to do another refresher on keyboard shortcuts ...
In order to access the Unity main menu while in Citrix full screen, you can just press the Windows (Super) key briefly ... If you press and hold the Windows (Super) key first, you can then use familiar Windows shortcuts.
This might lead you to create a few new keyboard shortcuts (especially if you prefer klunky old IBM style keyboards for their solid old-school type-writer feel, but might lack a few "modern" keys). In order to create keyboard shortcuts in Ubuntu 14.04, You can go to System Settings->Keyboard or enter "keyboard" into the Unity search box. On of the tabs in "Keyboard Settings" says "Shortcuts". You can create your own keyboard shortcuts here.
And while I was at it, I once again had to remind myself of the keyboard shortcuts for Firefox. Most of these haven't changed much. You'll find them all over the web:
| F5 | Refresh current page, frame, or tab. |
| F11 | Display the current website in full screen mode. Pressing F11 again to exit. |
| Esc | Stop page or download from loading. |
| Spacebar | Moves down a page at a time. |
| Alt-Home | Open home page. |
| Alt-Down Arrow | Display all previous text entered in a text box and available options on drop down menu. |
| Alt-Left Arrow | Back a page. |
| Alt-Right Arrow | Forward a page. |
| Ctrl-(- or +) | Increase/decrease font size, '-' to decrease, '+' to increase, Ctrl-0 to reset to default. |
| Ctrl-D | Add a bookmark for current page. |
| Ctrl-F | Open a search (find) dialogue box for current window. |
| Ctrl-H | View browsing history. |
| Ctrl-I | Display available bookmarks. |
| Ctrl-J | Display the download window. |
| Ctrl-K or Ctrl-E | Move the cursor to the search box. |
| Ctrl-L | Move cursor to address box. |
| Ctrl-N | Open New browser window. |
| Ctrl-O | Access the File Open dialogue to open a (local) file in Firefox. |
| Ctrl-P | Print current page or frame |
| Ctrl-T | Opens a new tab |
| Ctrl-F4 or Ctrl-W | Closes the currently selected tab. |
| Ctrl-F5 | Refresh the page, ignoring cache (full refresh). |
| Ctrl-Enter | Quickly complete a URL. e.g. type postgres in the address bar and press Ctrl-Enter to get http://www.postgresql.org/ |
| Ctrl-Tab | Moves through each of the open tabs. |
| Ctrl-Shift-Del | Open the Clear Data window to quickly clear private data. |
| Ctrl-Shift-B | Open the Bookmarks window, to view all bookmarks in Firefox. |
| Ctrl-Shift-J | Open the Browser Console to troubleshoot a script error. |
| Ctrl-Shift-P | Open a new Private Browsing window. |
| Ctrl-Shift-T | Undo the close of a window. |
