Have read your artice about the ineffectiveness of anti-spam
legislation, while writing a submission to the local Liberal Member of
Federal Parliament. I met with him today to complain about its
restrictiveness for small business, and the costs the Act places on us
to no real benefit.

Ed: I was being rather tardy with my emails when Jeff sent this
mail. Eventually I sent him a reply:

But, I meant to ask whether your local member has followed up on this.
e.g. any questions in parliment? Or maybe raising the issue with DCITA?

Oh and you could mention that the amount of spam has not decreased by an
iota. In fact if anything it has increased!

stats report a hit on my site by "Sqworm/2.9.85-BETA (beta_release;
20011115-775; i686-pc-linux-gnu" and was curious as to what it is. Since
you refer to this on your site... can you shed any light on the subject?
It would be much appreciated. When replying, please put "sqworm" in
